The conditions for use are simple. First, you must be a member of the Centre. Next, the maximum length of an exhibition is one month. Responsibility for advertising, organisation of an opening party etc.belongs to the exhibitor, and of course the exhibition must not cause any disruption to organised workshops.
There is no charge for a member's exhibition, but the Centre does not provide any invigilation. Works on display are covered by the general terms of the Centre's insurance only.
The mezzanaine gallery should not be confused with the Community Hall Gallery, which is situated next door to the Art & Craft Centre. For more information on that gallery, click HERE.
Our Mezzanine Gallery
To complement the production area downstairs which - let's face it - can be a little messy when work is in full swing, we operate a small but well equipped gallery on our mezzanine (entrance) level. This gallery is available to any of our members for a period of up to a month. A member holding an exhibition is welcome to organise a public opening event, and work can be offered for sale..
The objective is to provide a clean, well-lit environment so that works are presented as they are designed to be seen. Even the best work won't shine when surrounded by the detritus of production!
The gallery is popular with members and we have a queue of people waiting to exhibit their work.
