Primrose Paper Arts

Primrose Paper Arts Inc, formerly Primrose Paper Works Co-op, was conceived following the First National Paper Conference in Tasmania in 1987. We started operations in Primrose Park Arts & Crafts Centre in Cremorne in February,1991.

The importance of Primrose Paper Arts in promoting the use of hand made paper can't be underestimated. The continued growth of the group is testament to the dedication of its many members. We now have over fifty members, all with a basic interest in hand made paper but with a variety of backgrounds, talents and expertise.

Projects

Several times each year our members work together on a major project - often cooperating with other organisations. These projects culminate in an exhibition, of course, and usually have a strong environmental message. We are planning some great new projects this year - and we would love you to join in!

Members Work Days

We have access to the Centre on several days each week so that members can undertake their own projects either as individuals or small groups. These work days encourage our members to pursue creative lines that may perhaps have originated in a workshop or from discussion with fellow members. With practice comes confidence and our workdays also allow members to extend their skills and adventure into new areas.

Public Workshops

We provide a varied program of public workshops throughout the year - you can see those which are coming in the next few months by clicking HERE or on Workshops in the menu bar above. You can download and print a workshop enrolment form by clicking HERE.

Private Lessons

We also offer a limited set of private lessons for those who may not be able to attend weekend workshops. Please click HERE for information on our current list of private lessons.

Links

We work in close cooperation with like-minded groups around Australia and overseas. If you would like to visit their websites (after you have browsed our site, of course!) click HERE and go to our Links page.
