Private Lessons
We encourage attendance at our many papermaking workshops held throughout the year to learn the basics of handmade paper. If, however, there should not be a date to suit you Primrose Paper Arts can arrange private lessons as follows:
Basic Papermaking
Handmade paper lessons using recycled paper will introduce you to the basics of pulp preparation, couching, pressing and drying. Some variations such as embossing, embedding, inclusions and laminating will be demonstrated. Approx 2-3 hrs.
Cost $75
Paper from Plant Fibre
Plant fibre makes unusual and interesting papers with a variety of uses. You will be shown how to prepare, cook and beat the fibre. There will be time to turn your pulp into sheets of paper. Some knowledge of sheet formation necessary. Approx 2-3 hrs.
Cost $80.
Beater Lessons
Beater lessons are available to those already skilled at making paper. Cotton or denim is used and you will have time to turn the pulp into paper. Approx 3 hrs
